Ranger of the Month for February 2007

Congratulations go out to Billy Welch,
our Ranger of the Month.
How did Billy accomplish this feat? He earned points by coming to Ranger meetings and events, coming in uniform, bringing his Bible, and attending Sunday School or Kid's Church. For his efforts Billy was awarded a $10 gift certificate to Gospel Publishing House, a supplier of all things a Royal Ranger might need.

Congratulation Billy, keep up the good work!

Royal Rangers—Question, Learn, and Change

You know what FYI means (“for your information”). And you know what TMI stands for (“too much information”). Let me introduce you to RR-QLC!

RR-QLC stands for “Royal Rangers—Question, Learn, and Change”. It is not a program or a theme. It is a leadership attitude and tool that enables Royal Rangers leaders to listen, learn, and pursue excellence in ministry. Learning leaders create a learning organization that embraces evaluation, which precedes improvement and growth.

The purpose of RR-QLC is:
1- To solicit input from the field (by asking questions)
2- To synthesize the information with other sources of data (learning)
3- To improve programs, events, and services in response to the feedback (changing)

By being responsive to the needs and interests of those we serve, Royal Rangers will remain relevant to boys in our ever-changing culture.

To initiate RR-QLC, the national Royal Rangers ministries office is requesting constant feedback about the program, publications, products, services, and key events using the following mediums:

Internet: Pastors, parents, Ranger boys, non-Ranger boys, and others will be invited to complete on-line surveys. Click here to complete the online survey.
E-mail: Anyone at anytime is welcome to e-mail the national ministries office with suggestions and ideas. Send your comments to RR-QLC@ag.org.
Surveys: Post-event and general surveys will be used to collect timely and targeted feedback.
Conversations: Face-to-face, focused dialogue will also be sought as members of our staff have the opportunity to interface with boys, parents, leaders, pastors, and others around the country.

We invite YOU to be a part of this feedback process. QLC is open to everyone and we want to hear from YOU! Follow the links above to give us your feedback today!

Thank you for your participation!

Royal Rangers will be sleeping with the fishes!

Did you ever go to the aquarium and wish you could just live there, sleeping with the fishes. Well if your a Royal Ranger this is your opportunity. On June 1st, 2007 the Royal Rangers will be participating in an overnight program at the New England Aquarium (NEAq) in Boston. Like last years Battleship Cove overnight this is another chance for the boys to see a world most people are not priveledged to see. While this is not explicitly a Father and son trip we strongly encourage Fathers to join the trip if possible. We are limited to 30 participants so the spots will fill on a first come (with a deposit of full payment), first served basis.

What you get:
Priceless (Father/Son) moments with the denizens of the deep.
A great chance to interact with the Royal Ranger Commanders and learn what makes them tick (hint one of them is an oceanographer, two are/or were coasties)
Two day admission
Science and art activites
Evening Snack, morning breakfast
Overnight patch
Roam the aquarium before it is even open to the public

What you need:
$45 per person
Sleeping bag
Pillow
Flashlight
Clothes that can get messy (is there any other kind for a boy?), change of clothes, toiletries etc.
Your favorite sea shanty

The Date:
June 1st
A 50% deposit will be due in March 7th
